Angelo is know almost by everyone, who has something to do with salsa.And not
only in Prague, but also in Plzeň, Brno, other cities and in Slovakia. Certainly
you have seen him in tv show „Night with Andělem“ or at 13 of july 2006 on
Venceslav square on a dance performace for HAVANA CLUB COCTAIL SHOW. He also
were performing in e.g.: Duplex, Mecca, Bonanza, Bodeguita del Medio in Prague
and private parties like Czech MISS 2006, 2008 - afterparty, Prague carnival,
Reggaefestival 29.6-1.7.2007, for companies as Opávia, Xerox, for slovak T-Com
and many others. His typical style is given to him not only for his cuban
temperament, but also for his origin. It is common knowledge, that Angelo is
grandson of worldwide known musican - Francisco Repilado. You will probably know
him as Compay Segundo. Yes! Buena Vista Social Club.
Jana started already in year 2002, as almost everyone in Prague in those times,
in lessons of Mandy. Alongside it she stared to study spanish. She finised
studies with Internationaly accepted certificate. Meantime she met Angelo. Than
things bit "changed" :-) She visited Cuba. There together with Angelo danced and
danced... from salsa to afrocuban folklore and santería. Some dance
performances, creating choreographies etc. So you can really expect something
nice and pleasant.
Both are really great dancers and mainly amazing teachers with understanding for
"non-cubans" and with their characteristic style.Nowadays some of their salsa
students are performing already and - imagine! - even some of them are already
teaching salsa!
Jana with Angelem teach the original cuban salsa. And not only this! Alsou cuban
rumba and cha-cha-chá, cuban mambo, guaguancó, son and as a speciality afrocuban
folklore with santería.
You might see them e.g. creating ambiente in spanish restaurant La Bodega in
Prague.
